Frequently Asked Questions
Why a Free Dinner?

Mealtimes are a perfect opportunity to get to know others in the church. We offer a free dinner so it is as easy as possible for you to come to church.

Why Do We Meet On Weekdays?
We have chosen Thursday and Wednesday evenings because, it gives people who love to spend their weekend outdoors a chance to be a part of a church, and it allows us to minister to those who don't know Jesus on the weekends.

Affiliation?

We function as an independent, self governed church that has chosen to contribute to the Southern Baptist cooperative.

Who can Come?

Outdoorsmen church is more than just a place for the hunter, fisher, hiker, etc. We have chosen to create a relaxed come as you are environment where all people regardless of age, likes/dislikes, gender, etc. are welcome to grow in their relationship with Christ and each other.

How Do I Become a Member?

If you are interested in becoming a member we ask that you listen to the Outdoorsmen church membership CD, which outlines our membership criteria, such as; one’s personal decision for Christ, baptism by immersion, and an understanding of our church and its values.

Who Makes the Decisions at the Church?
Staff is responsible for the vision and day to day operation of their ministries. Staff meets at least monthly with the advisory team for input and accountability. The members of the church vote on budget, overall church goals, finances and vision, at the annual members meeting and special meetings as needed throughout the year.

How Are The Finances Handled?

Church offerings are received in two boxes at the back of the church. Checks are processed by an outside bookkeeper so no one in the church knows who has given. The church budget is annually presented by the staff, reviewed and approved by the church members and handled by the church treasurer. All books are open for review if you wish to see a report, please let our treasurer know.

What is Relational Ministry?
We believe that relational ministry is the most effective way to share Christ with the community and invest in the people of our church. We invest time into people and their passions such as; dinner, hunting, fishing, working on projects, camping, meeting for coffee, wherever they’re at.
